What is Erectile Dysfunction (ED)? Erectile dysfunction, or ED, is when a man can't get or keep an erection that is strong enough for sexual activity. Estimates show that 1 out of 10 men will have ED at some point in their lives. It is important to know that most of the time, ED is a sign of a bigger problem. ED is not normal at any age, and it may be linked to other problems that make it hard to have a sexual relationship, like a lack of desire or trouble getting orgasmic or ejaculating.
